CyanLine Releases AP-Finder 3.0 –
Advanced Tool for Auditing Wireless Networks, Locating Rogue Wireless Access
Points and those using the rogue access points!
Now available,
AP-Finder 3.0 stands as the premier tool for easily locating rogue access
points while also thoroughly auditing an organization’s wireless network. A
completely passive solution, AP-Finder from CyanLine does not affect Intrusion
Detection Systems (IDS), allowing for streamlined wireless network management
with no impact on previously installed security solutions.
As one of the
nation’s leading experts in wireless network security, CyanLine features top
industry specialists relied upon by some of the world’s large organizations to
address wireless security issues. These same experts created AP-Finder,
resulting from a need to directly answer the most common and damaging threats
located in the field. (AP-Finder 3.0 documentation is available online at AP-Finder 3.0 document(pdf))
Track those using specific Access Points
AP-Finder 3.0 now enables you to find and track the signal strength of users connected to any of the wireless networks within your perimeter. This new feature will help you find users in your organization that may be using hotspots instead of authorized wireless networks, or find outsiders that have connected to your production wireless network.
Locate specific wireless cards by signal strength
AP-Finder 3.0 introduces a new feature to allow you to seek a specific wireless MAC address within your range. If found, AP-Finder will display the signal strength associated with the MAC address, enabling you to discover the physical location of the system. Display Wireless Clients seeking a wireless network.
AP-Finder 3.0 introduces another new feature, display networks being sought by wireless clients in range. This extremely useful feature provides a wealth of information about the usage habits of wireless users in space.
Integration with
Kismet AP-Finder 3.0 feature
full integration with Kismet, the leading wireless network identification tool
already used by thousands of companies worldwide. The integration with Kismet
helps position AP-Finder as one of the only thorough wireless network management
tools that leverages the dual power of strong wireless security technology and
powerful access point searching. Kismet is an 802.11 layer2 wireless network
detector, sniffer, and intrusion detection system that works with any wireless
card that supports raw monitoring (rfmon) mode. Kismet
can sniff 802.11b, 802.11a, and 802.11g traffic. “With the release of
CyanLine’s AP-Finder 3.0, evaluating and securing your organization’s wireless
network is no longer a daunting task,” said Steven Branigan, President of
CyanLine. “AP-Finder is the clear choice for organizations wanting to erase the
numerous vulnerability questions that accompany the deployment of a wireless
network. At an affordable price, AP-Finder is a cost-effective, unbeatable deal
